Cleaning and Sterilization of Surgical Instruments.
Before sterilization all instruments have to be disinfected and cleaned.
Before sterilization please use one of the following three cleaning alternatives.

Cleaning by hand
Cleaning by hand is efficient, if it is carried out properly.
To prevent corrosion or injuries of the instruments, we recommend to use a soft brush and neutral or non-aggressive detergents. Please immediately dry up the instrument after this procedure by using a soft and dry cotton cloth.

Ultrasonic Cleaning
Ultrasonic Cleaning saves time. Secondly it is more efficient than cleaning by hand and lowers the risk of contamination.

Thermo disinfections
Thermo disinfection is also more efficient than cleaning by hand and lowers the risk of contamination.

Mostly the machine is large and is inefficient if chosen for small quantity of instruments. Before sterilization the instruments should be dry to prevent stains. Instruments with joints or ratchets should be cleaned and sterilized in open position only.

Sterilization
The operating instructions of the manufacturer of the sterilization machines should be read carefully and followed strictly.

  • All of our instruments have to be treated according to their specific method of sterilizing.
  • All of our instruments can be sterilized by chemical procedures as well as by thermo dynamical ones.
  • Avoid cleaning  none stainless items or chromium-plated metals with stainless instruments in the same machine or cleaning unit.
  • The instruments can be preserved sterilely or non-sterilely (for example in trays).
  • Avoid moisture as far as possible.
  • Coarse pollutions have to be removed completely.
  • Most instruments with plastic can be sterilized without any problem.
  • Please check the movement after every 50 cycles of work.
  • Instruments with tungsten carbide have essentially longer endurance.
  • Soft and correct treatment enlarges the durance of single instruments.
  • One-way instruments are not suited for any method of sterilisation.

The claim of guaranty is void if you treat the instruments inexpertly.
